This was a nice park. We've been coming here for a decade. But now you have to pay to get in. You pay taxes for the park and then have to pay again to use it. This is garbage.

I come here to walk and relieve stress. I call it my place of peace. I love hearing the water, and the breeze feels great.

Old Trace Park is one of the best outdoor spots in the area. Whether you're there to grill, walk the lakeside trail, or just relax under one of the gazebos, there's something for everyone. The disc golf course is a fun bonus, and the dog park makes it super convenient for pet owners. It’s also a great place for photography, especially around sunset, and there’s usually just enough breeze to fly a kite. The view over the reservoir is always peaceful. Definitely a go-to park for a relaxing day outside. Playground Playground available for kids Restrooms Restrooms next to the public parking Dog-friendliness Dog park within the Old Trace Park Picnic area Picnic areas and gazebos

Great family-friendly and dog-friendly park in Ridgeland. Excellent views of the reservoir and plenty of grass to pan out. They also have 18- hole disc golf, gazebos, playground, a dog park, and often host festivals. During the summer they will charge $5 for parking, but you can always park for free in the big lot next door by the boat launch.

Perfect place for a walk, quiet day/eve, date, play, family day, you name it. Geese, walking trail, plenty of shaded spaces, and LOTS OF ROOM for everyone. I had my birthday picnic at Old Trace and it was beautiful Playground Appropriate for kids. The day we were there, the kids were having fun Restrooms When I visited, it was clean and cool Dog-friendliness Saw several people with dogs that were responsibly kept with no issues Picnic area Several pavilions available or bring your own blanket, etc. and just pick a spot! 0:29

Had a fun time there. Nice sunny with the views and bugs. Be aware you would have to pay $5 if you try to park in the main entrance. I parked on the side and walked.

I saw various reviews about an entrance fee. Most say it only applies to summer weekends. We went in January and there was a lift gate that required a $5 entrance fee before getting through. I just left that parking area, went to the driveway right next door, and there was a huge parking lot right on the water without any fees. The park itself was lots of fun. Great place for walking, hanging out by the water, and the disc golf course looks cool.

What do I need to really say about a place on the water anywhere? Water is my happy place.. lakes, rivers, creeks, ponds, reservoirs, oceans. This one does not disappoint either ❤️💯👍 …
