Olmos Basin Park

One of the best place for romantic walks with partner. Lots of dog trails available. Peaceful place The trail makes me wonder how beautiful it might be in the springtime. And the area is so clean to sit on the grass and eat but the ants and bugs gonna disturb you.

Good for long walks and runs.. it’s far from dense of population, somewhat isolated but it’s a pace to “cool” off, and tune in. Not bad. Make it part of chain of activities, it not far from Japanese Tea Garden.

Had a birthday party here, plenty of room, nice shade trees, and playground. Restrooms nearby as well. Smallish parking. GPS directions a little tricky though, sent about half the guests to the middle of an overpass.

This is a large park with beautiful older trees and lots of shade. There is a creek that runs along the middle of the park near the playground. There are plenty of stone grills with nearby stone picnic tables for people to use. The one bathroom I went into was way too scary for me to let my kids use but at least it's there if an adult needs to use it. I saw some nearby porta pottys which might have been cleaner. My kids loved the little shrub maze next to the playground. Streetlights came on at dusk. I'm looking forward to exploring other parts of this park.

The soccer field and trails are very pretty. We saw birds, squirrels, and a big owl that day. However, there was a lot of trash when we were there, especially near the creek. If you bring young children, watch them carefully. Playground The playground is very nice for young children. Restrooms The women's restroom was surprisingly clean. Dog-friendliness There were quite a few dog stations and trash cans. Picnic area The picnic area was impressive. It was rustic and the tables were big. It could easily accommodate a fairly large group. There were a few grilling areas.

Olmos Basin Park is located in San Antonio, Texas. There are trails, playground areas, restrooms and lots of beautiful nature around you to enjoy. The Olmos Basin trailhead is a paved trail, so it is good for walking, running, bicycles, and strollers. Many people come out and walk their dogs out here. It is such a pretty park to come out and enjoy the trails and nature.
