Palmer Dog Park

I love the fact that the park is divided into two sections, so my rowdy little ones can antagonize bigger dogs through the fence. We can spend hours here so I always prep snacks and just let them run and explore. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the park, but it's a straight shot and just more places for the pups to explore

Great size dog park. Both sides are big. It has a nice paved path to get to the dog area. And it’s cute with gazebos and benches. My pup loves this place!

Overall ok. There are lots of aggressive dogs lacking owner control. The biggest thing they need to fix. Move the dog poo cans away from the benches. No one wants to sit and smell shit the whole time 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wonderful dog park with an area for both large and small dogs. A large paved walking path for humans. With the addition of the Bandshell nearby there are now restrooms and parking very close.

Such a great addition to Palmer Park! There are separate small and big dog runs, and a water fountain which is really nice.

Awesome dog park with a pretty new looking trail that goes around it which is paved. The small dog area and a large dog area and plenty of room to be in your own area if you wish. Parking is a short walk away. Restrooms Restrooms with a drinking fountain bring your own bowl for the dogs

This is a really nice and well maintained dog park. No strange locks on the fence and somehow its in much better shape than Ferndale's just up the road past 8 mile on Hilton. Hmmmm 🤔🤔🤔

I love the addition of a Dog Park to Palmer Park. The park is free to the public and has been a great way for dog owners from all over the city to meet and make connections. The park does have a drainage issue after it rains, leaving lots of standing water and a large mud pub me. But since the park is still new, only being open for one year, I’m hoping a change will be made in the near future. Playground There are playgrounds within Palmer Park, but not near the dog park. Restrooms No restrooms near the dog park. Dog-friendliness The dog owners who visit the park are very respectable regarding if their dog is friendly or not. There are two sections of the dog park, a large area and then a small area. Usually all the dog and dog owner’s hang out in the large area and leaves the small area for those who may not be comfortable bringing their dog into the large area where all the dogs are. Picnic area There are picnic areas within Palmer Park but no picnic area near the dog park and food is not permitted in the dog park.

Not a big park considering all the area surrounding the dog park, and not as close to a parking lot as I would like, but it’s great to have a dog park in Palmer park! There is one picnic table and a few benches inside. Also there’s a giant mud pit :(
