People bring their big dogs to the small dog side on purpose and my small dog got hurt when a big one bit her. They never explain why they're disobeying the rules. It's always older folks. The park is separated because some small dogs can't handle big ones. In my opinion the problem with this dog park is the members. Dog-friendliness Owners of big dogs (especially older owners) intentionally bring their big dogs to the small dog side and cause trouble.

Excellent park for walking around, some short trails and also a fenced dog area.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! It is SUPER huge. Some of the owners in the area have lived there for awhile, and have brought their dogs there before it was an actual dog park...they are a little uptight. But other than that, its the perfect size for my husky girl to get all of energy out! I take here there for about an hour, then we go running around the park so shes too tired to pull.

Our dogs love running around in here. The space is massive! Most people are good with cleaning up after their dogs, which is always a plus.

Lots of hiking trails to walk. There's a nice creek down at the bottom. Lots of nature & cute little animals all around. They have a dog park(large & small sides) & some sports fields for the kids. I usually come here every weekend & we LOVE IT.

It's a nice place to take a walk or walk your dog, unfortunately too many people don't have the decency to take their trash with them rather than dropping throughout the park. I picked up enough on my walk to almost fill a bag today. (None of it was mine).

While you are jogging or doing any other activities, you can park your dog safely right here. Nice and clean park that I ever seen!!

Fast service but the employee installed the new battery without cleaning the terminals .. I didn't realize this until I got home and checked it out. They charge $26 to install.

Pretty cool dog park , have 2 sides, small and large dogs. And great walking path around it which equals to a mile long around. Great exercise.

We joined in 202 and enjoy taking our dog to the park. The dog park is part of a large “human” park and have enjoyed both. It is nice to let it pup off the leash with other animals.

Very nice park with great walking trails. The dog park was nice. It was a little on the small side for how much space they had. But overall it was a good visit.

Great spot to let your doggies run loose. Unfortunately, many people think that their dogs are special and can be untethered during their walks on the trails instead. This has led to my children getting barked at, pounced on with muddy paws, and chased. This dog park provides a great alternative for those who like to let their pups run free.

Some onwers don't clean up after their dogs but no place is perfect. If you have a dog you'll have a place to let off it they arent trained, good spot

We travel with our dog, so we look for places where she can get a little energy out. It is ridiculous to have a dog park off-limits to "outsiders." Even the people there with their dogs were apologetic about it, saying that they'll get kicked out if they allow someone in that hasn't paid. As for the park itself, it is basically under-equipped compared to most other dog parks in the country. It's just grass surrounded by a locked fence, not much else. Maybe a bench? What does this fee get you? Really disappointed. So, we just trotted around the outside of the park, and I kind of think our greyhound enjoyed that just as much. Too bad.

Great spot for dogs to run and play. There are usually bowls but bring water--last time I was there it was too cold and the didn't have the dog fountain on yet. I would bring your own chair. There's only a couple of benches. Not a lot of shade. Owners will leave tennis balls and Chuck-its if you forget stuff for your dog to play with

It is so smart to allow folks to try out the park to see if it is for them before they sign up their dogs. My big old poodle, Blake, loved it and so did I. Thanks to all who worked so tirelessly to make the park happen. I think the idea of a fee to join is excellent. Not only will dogs be identified and those breaking the rules ousted but also folks can help remind one another that they must clean up after their dogs. That is something that is not happening at the moment. So glad that problem will be fixed with dog identification. The park is beautiful, perfect and such a great idea! Thanks to all who made it happen. Thanks to those who brought in non aggressive, friendly dogs. What fun.

This had been a great dog park, but not all dogs wear their tags. Our dog was bitten aggressively yesterday in the back of the neck (is ok) but it's hard to file a park incident report without the tag number of the other dog (a large boxer mix?) Owner was not in control. Our dog was not the only dog who experienced the boxer-mix's agression. Dogs play and growl, but there is a difference. Or dog was crying as the other dog mounted him and wouldn't let go of the back of our dog's neck. Others on the small-dog side of the park warned us before we went in b/c they had been witnessing the boxer-mix's agression before we arrived, but we didn't heed the warning :( it's not always a safe place to play.

VISITORS NOT WELCOME. Perry Paw is a huge, controlled access dog park. It's about 4 times larger than necessary. It's nice that the County has provided this feature for the community, but it could have provided 3 other communities with dog parks for the same money, but more appropriately sized.I visited (the card reader still wasn't activated after several postponed "grand openings") the park noonish on a beautiful spring weekday. No one was there. I returned 1 hr later, and there was just one couple with their dogs, who were leaving. I have checked it out a few other times this winter. Each side of the park has a water station. There are a few benches, but otherwise no other amenities. Ground is scruffy grass. There is no shelter from rain, sun, wind, etc for man nor beast. A dog park should be a wonderful people park. People have a discussion point-- their beloved dogs, which is far more interesting than the weather. This park is controlled by a cadre of uptight people, who have created more rules than Congress. Uptight people produce uptight dogs. People who don't understand/believe this should watch a few episodes of Cesar Millan. That there have been near (people) fights about who can come in is not surprising. What do dogs want? More dogs. Dogs like meeting other dogs. And they don't care whether the humans are rich or poor, or black or white. Visit instead a dog-friendly dog park, like the one in Patterson Park.
