Piney Wood Dog Park

New dog, and first time going to a dog park. Its way cleaner that I expected and there is plenty of room for your dog to run. There are lots of shaded areas in the small dog section as well.

Love this place! Really nice people and dogs. Small dog area and large dog areas available. Dogs are well behaved and play well together.

It's a great place for dogs. Unless you run into a Karen. This women was so rude to my 17 year old daughter who was with our family rescue dog. Get dog was not very social and she stared complaining about our dog playing rough like all of the other big dogs were doing. Mind you, there are other sections to take your dog is you don't like them being pounced on by a big teddy bear dog. The nerve of this women. The other dog owners even said why is she here is she's not here to let the dogs be dogs?

Wooded area is really nice. Somebody cut the hose for water, so you can't spray your dogs and cool them off. The dog toys have also all been removed, which is sad.

Absolutely a gorgeous park compared to the one I have in my area. Huge dog areas for the dogs to play in and get some good run time as well. I'm an out of state furbaby momma as I drive commercially after running some errands I needed to find a dog park to let his energy out as he is a 2 year old husky mix. Was very pleased at how all the dogs interact with each other and most of the hoomans keep an eye on their furbabies. Thanks for giving me a great experience whomever built this park and maintains it my furbaby and I had a great experience here.

Excellent 12 new pickleball courts, even lighted for nighttime use. Nice paddle holders when you are waiting for an open court.

Dogs get muddy here ;also there will be some unruly dogs of someone, may bite your pet dog and hence you have to be careful.

Small dog park, it's decent. Few things to consider - bathrooms are at the bottom end of the park, making it a very long walk with a toddler playing on the playground. It's right on the train tracks and it's extremely loud. Both my toddler and dogs were terrified from the train horn. After visiting, I wouldn't come back here. Playground Fenced off play area with swing set and playground, no shade. Restrooms Disgusting. Cockroaches were in the corners

More than a dog park! A play ground, and trails- and, if inclined, pickleball! Playground Decent-sized playground. Restrooms Not the best, not the worst... Dog-friendliness Saw many dogs. My kids loved it, and I was grateful they all knew to ask before petting. Good dogs, fun memories!

I had my car broken into this week & I am being told that all the Durham dog parks and parks in general get targeted for Smash & Grabs. DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES or PURSE IN YOUR CAR!!! They will be stolen - don’t park along road -IF YOU GO- PARK with other cars but be careful. The stealing ring is fast & spent $3,000 within an hour & turned off location on my laptop they stole. My advice is not to go to parks in Durham in general since this is very common & getting worse.

Brain-dead parents are always bringing their small children and letting them run around screaming around the dogs. Then they are shocked when the dogs jump on them and nip them.

Still the nicest dog park in Durham. Muddy or dusty depending on the weather but drains better than other dog parks in the area. Have gone regularly about 16 yrs.

Looks great for dogs. Pretty good for humans too. Clean bathrooms and nice equipment. Plenty of parking.

Great community meets here. With options for small, medium and large dogs. Wish we had more parks like this

Love this park! They do check to see if your pooch is up-to-date, which is a good thing. I thought it was going to be muddy and full of snobs, but quite the contrary, it was dry and a perfect day for my girl to stretch her legs, make friends, and fetch. The people were super friendly. It's definitely worth a visit if you haven't already.

Very spacious and well laid out dog park. Everyone Ive ran into there was very polite and mindful of their dogs. Parking can be a little dicey if there are games happening on the neighboring fields.

A ton of space. Separated sections as well. Great place to help socialize your pups. Just be polite and don't assume you are a dog trainer... we all think that 🤣🤣 …

This is a HUGE dog park with shady trees and big open grassy areas. It has separate areas for large and small dogs, lots of benches, plenty of parking, multiple entrances, and a bunch of friendly dogs and people. Our dogs love it here.

Very nice park and they have a huge dog park and picnic tables and pickleball courts a whole bunch of them. Restrooms Clean and well stocked restrooms.
