Pioneer Dog Park

Not the best not the worst. Poop bags and trashcan are provided. In the afternoon there is ample shade. The entire dog park is mulch. The little water faucet did work. The biggest downside is the people that hang around this park and the amount of smoke and weed you will smell. It’s not a place you wanna hang out for too long, but perfect for a potty spot.

I was passing through town with my dog. The park is lovely, well-kept, and in a good area. The fenced in area is decently sized and worked well for letting my dog run around before leaving town. The doggie bags were stocked and a trash can was available for disposal. There is also a spicket for a doggie water fountain to drink from, but I was unable to get much water to come out of it. The area could definitely use some additional mulch as it's largely dirt/mud. So keep that in mind if you plan to go.

Very spacious for my Ranger and he loved it! Didn't like the guy who brought his pup in there. I asked him before entering if his pup was ok with other pups. He had ear bud's in and didn't care what my question was and let his pup in and he was aggressive towards my pup and I told him that he needed to take his pup out and that will be done with the park in about 10 minutes. And he took his pup out and I didn't see him again after that. The man was really rude and disrespectful and didn't care to hear what I was trying to ask!

The park itself was beautiful. We came for the dog park. Nice, fenced area with fresh water, lots of shade and Doggie Bags with disposal. But the bark layer used for groundcover is so course it hurt my medium sized dog's feet. It is beautiful though. We enjoyed walking the grassy areas on leash.

Much nicer than the reviews would have you believe. There are a couple of homeless people wandering around but they weren't bothersome. Decently large space, room enough to run around. The area is patrolled by police and felt perfectly safe

My dogs took dumps and then I had to pick it up, maybe not my favourite thing in the world, but at least the park is pretty clean, and had bags. They even had a doggo bar in the middle for watering your fuzzballs.

This is a small dog park it has wood chips down there which is great if you don't mind plucking out splinters of your dog's paws and they're only water source is broken and has been broken for a while aside from the fact that there is unsavory characters sleeping and sleeping bags around the area

**Please check for dangerous debris before letting your dog roam free here** I love pioneer park, and the fact that it has a fenced in dog area is great. There’s a built in drinking hose & fountain, garbage and poop bag station, and large trees surrounding for shade. That being said, every time we go I have to walk at least the entire perimeter to check for litter/debris. If found knives, needles, aluminum can lids and other sharp objects that could ruin a good day.

This was a great little dog park with secure fencing for our dogs to run around and play while we ate our take out on the lawn. The water fountain wasn't on and the trash was overflowing so I couldn't give 5 stars.

Sketchy people around, no other dogs, tons of trash all over, and I found multiple empty vodka bottles strewn around the dog park. On top of all that, the water fountain didn't work, and there were no dog bags left... Keep it classy, Salt Lake.
