This park will be very nice. Hard to believe it's in Metro Columbus. It has about everything!

This place is ideal because it has a large area for your dogs to play. It seems to be lightly traveled. There were a variety of dogs there all well-behaved. The area is scenic with few trees. If you were looking for a bright sunny day with the pooch this is your place.

This park has some big advantages and some big disadvantages. On the plus side, the park has two large areas, one for large dogs and one for small. There is a small concrete pad on each side which is a safe spot to put a water dish. A dish is necessary because there is no running water installed yet. There is sufficient grass in most of the small dog area. This area is lightly used. The large dog area is heavily used. The grass there was adequate when the park opened. It is no longer. It is sparse. On our visit today, it had recently rained so we initially kept our dogs in the small dog area (the dogs are in the 40 to 50 # range and are friendly). This was not satisfactory to the dogs. They are accustomed to running with the other dogs and complained so we relented and planned to simply wipe their feet. Not a good move. I began noticing and picking up broken glass and pottery shards. I have found an occasional piece of glass in previous visits and removed them, but today was much worse. In hindsight, the cause is clear. The bare earth combined with recent heavy rain has exposed the shards. The dogs enjoyed themselves and ran a lot, but when we left through the entryway I noticed blood spots the size of a dime. Lots of them. They were coming from my dog's front foot. A pad was sliced. We wrapped the foot and held it in place for the trip home, where we bathed the dog and used hydrogen peroxide to clean the wound. She is licking it in her carrying kennel as I write. I have a few suggestions for the rangers responsible for running the park. The first is to change the designation of the two sides. Keep one side open for all dogs and close the other to let it lie fallow with some new grass seed. Then swap sides. The level of use now is unsustainable. The second suggestion is to get some clean fill in and cover the ground they have now. Wherever the current soil came from, it was the wrong place as it is highly contaminated with sharp objects. If you go there, please use the less-worn side as it will be safer for your dog. Please also look for and pick up any glass shards you may find. Many hands make light work and all that. I will not be taking my dogs back until the dangers have been mitigated. It is a shame that what should be a wonderful park is at present not wonderful. I suspect the soil came from someplace with a very old dump. A shard I picked up was very thick earthenware which may very well be from the 19th century. I have never found any plastic, so the dump, if that is indeed the source, was not a recent one. I still have the shard. The glass was discarded. I am hopeful this park will be made safe. It is very convenient and is in an area severely underserved by dog parks. If other parkgoers have seen issues, please report them. I am sure that Metroparks wants the best parks possible. Feedback will help reach that goal.

I take my dog to the quarry trails park, but rarely go to this dog park. Plus big open spaces, 2 parks separated by dog size. Cons little shade and no water

There are two parks. One for big and one for small dogs. The small one is great bc 95% of the time you have it 100% to ur self. Even with other dogs on the park it’s a huge lot so plenty of room to claim a decent sized spot just for you and your dog. Playground There is a kids playground a short ways away. Definitively within walking distance. Restrooms No restrooms in the immediate area. Dog-friendliness Yes like most dog parks it’s very pet friendly lol Picnic area Plenty of picnic areas with a gazebo and benches in the dog park area itself. Many other areas outside the dig park as well.

Great dog park. Trails are a bit short, but pretty neat considering how close it is to the city. Dog-friendliness Great dog parks.

The two separate dog park spaces (small and larger dogs) need a real maintenance strategy. Otherwise, they will continue to be giant mud pits with feces scattered throughout. If the Quarry Trails park allowed dogs off leash in certain areas, that would be ideal since the dog parks are 70% time unusable.

Beautiful, all grass area that’s separated between large and small dogs. Basically a big back yard! There are no facilities yet so remember to bring your pup some water!! I spoke to a ranger that mentioned that 9/1 is when the dog park parking lot will be open so you won’t have to walk the mile trail to bring your dog to the park. Will definitely be bringing my dog back now that it’ll be easily accessible

Updated: They finally got the parking done if you don't want to hike to them. Large areas for both small and large dogs to play. They still needs more shade and a water source for the dogs. Additional benches per area would be nice too. Early morning and late evening is the only shade you'll get from neighboring trees.

There is a lot to do here. There's the trails of course, with a really cool floating portion on the water. There's a group Hammock area which I've never seen before. There's a rope structure for kids to play on. You can bring a kayak and There's even a little special dock to get in the water. Sights are beautiful. There's also a dog park with a big dog and little dog section, and they have a treat program some weekends where you can give your pup some water and even make them a special treat! The only drawback is that most of the trail is thick gravel which isn't great for the pups paws. But overall this park is HUGE with a ton of trails and cool sights. I'll definitely be back! Playground Really cool ropes structure for the kids to climb and play on. Dog-friendliness There is a large dog park, and dogs are allowed on trails. There are also waste bags throughout the park in case you forget yours. But the rough gravel may hurt your pups feet, so just be mindful.

I've taken my dog to this park weekly since it opened earlier this year. The park itself provides large areas for both large and small dogs. As a whole, I've predominantly had great experiences with only one instance of an overly aggressive dog with non-attentive owners. Since the summer, it's pretty obvious that both sides have gotten a lot of use by the condition of the grass. Because of this, the mud is definitely a problem after a good rain. The lack of shade over the summer is definitely a bit of a concern and it would be nice to have a facility for water be added as well. I have zero doubt that trees will be coming in the future and hope there is a plan in place to provide water. As with any other dog park it can get a little busy at times, but nothing stopping out a little early or late doesn't fix. As it stands, I will absolutely continue to bring my dog there.

Stunning view and fun to walk on the trails. A lot of friendly dogs in the park and definitely worth it for spending couple hours there. Dog-friendliness Relatively new park, you don’t see muddy grass, you can get dog poop bags in many places
