Took my gf and her dog to the park and was impressed with the other people there and their dogs. A nice area to let your dog run and play and get the exercise he needed. Could use a little more grass in the gated areas of the dog playground but a very nice atmosphere and friendly people admiring each other's dogs. Walking distance from the apartment and right across the street the city library and police department and fire department. A block away is a Vons and shopping center and Circle K gas station. Great area to be in and a safe place to live in my opinion.

I used to take my dog to this park -most of the people were fairly nice - we stopped going after I was “cussed out by a regular dog park goer telling me not to bring my dog to the park - he did this to me in front of my 10 year old son and I am a mom. My dog did nothing to him or his dog, we never returned to the park again . I can only pray for a person who has to stoop down as low as to cuss at a women with her 10yr. Old son and dog . No I am not fearful of this man - but honestly I don’t want to be around this type of behavior- especially when we are just trying to enjoy our time with our dog inside a dog park . I also witnessed this behavior years and years ago by another man . There are so many better places to take your dogs !

Great park, but no grass. It's dirt. There are chairs, but be aware they may have been peed on! Easy parking and access. Water fountain right outside the park to fill up your dish for puppy. Playground No Restrooms No Dog-friendliness Of course! Picnic area Nope

Easy to find, easy to park, poop bags and water faucets provided. Two enclosures: one for dogs below, and the other for dogs above 30 lb. It could use a bit more irrigation in the dog areas as there are now large areas of dry dirt ( as opposed to the adjacent human play lawn) but the population of dogs and persons using it are pretty good.

Great simple dog park. I like that the are two sizes, one for big dogs and small dogs. There is always water, poop bags, and plenty of left behind tennis balls. I like the bench in the small dog side. Only recommendation is wising there was a shaded area or covering. But overall it’s clean and my dog loves it!

Bare-bones dog park, nothing to write home about -- just two big fenced areas. It's pretty annoying to consistently see a ton of big dogs in the small dog area. Also sometimes people bring some seriously aggressive dogs. One time I went, I saw someone bring in three dogs that immediately picked a fight with another one. Made for an all-around tense and unpleasant situation. Will probably go elsewhere in the future.

This is a few steps above the bare minimum to be called a dog park. There is no shade, the dog runs are on the smaller side. The only redeeming feature is the water fountains include a ground level foot activated fountain for your dog. If you live near-by it's adequate, but I would not go out of my way to visit this dog park.

Took my Louie, 12 yr old yorkshire terrier, on Valentine's Day. There was a small dog side and big dog side. Everyone was really friendly and the dogs were having a good time. There is grass, a water bowl and benches to sit on. Needless to say, Louie had a great time!

Great place with a small dog and large dog enclosure. There are also always lots of random toys people donated

it’s mediocre. some of the dogs are aggressive, and some of their owners either apologize or do not apologize. the park always has left over dog toys, and the grass has kind of died. overall, it’s a cool park if you want to take your dog to the park for a quick sesh, but, not for a full experience. i would go to the one in poway, it is so much bigger and a lot more friendly.

Super fun and clean though some dogs there can be a little nippy its just the nature of going to a dog park i guess

Update: It's full of cheat grass right now that can get stuck in their paws. There's plenty of parking. However, the grass is all dead and the water fountain just outside the dog areas is not working. It's a pretty run down experience. Dog-friendliness There are two areas, one for small dogs under 35 pounds and one for dogs over that.

Great location. There is a small dog side (under 30 lbs) & large dog (over 30 lbs) side. The large dog side is unfortunately all dirt. The small dog side is grass. There is plenty of parking and a water faucet to fill the dog bowls. My main complaint is the large dog owners coming into the small dog side. The last time there the small dog side was packed and half the dogs were "Large", while the bigger Large dog side only had 3 dogs in it.

It has two separate areas; one for dogs under 30lbs and the other for larger dogs. There is plenty of street parking. There is a parking lot but it had a sign saying it's a YMCA lot. The larger dog area has a water faucet but no bowls. The smaller dog area has no water faucet. Compared to Mealey Open Dog Park in Scripps Ranch and Torrey Hills/Ocean Air in Carmel Valley, this one is pretty small. It is right across the street from the police station and the Penasquitos library.

This park is nice because they have individual areas for large and smaller dogs. Sometimes people bring larger dogs into the small dog area, but for the most part they are generally well behaved and playful, and if they start getting too intense the owners will deal with them. My biggest complaint about the park is the complete lack of shade which makes the park pretty unbearable during hot and sunny seasons, and the lack a restrooms.

This is a good place for your dog to exercise since it's big for him to run by himself or to throw a ball far enough. It's popular so there is always more doggies in the park so your pup can also socialize and play around. I really like that the park is split in two big spaces, one for small doggies and the other one for the big ones! There is water to drink and bags to clean up after your dog.

Nice park for off-leash dogs but, some people bring their dogs to a dog park but don't allow their dogs to get close to other dogs. Which defeats the purpose of animal interaction, if you don't want your dogs to interact with other animals then keep them at home, simple. Foolish people. Dog-friendliness Most dogs just want to play and run up to each other looking threatening as dominance. But once that's settled then they just play.

Two sides to the park, 30 pounds or less, and 30 pounds and up. Pretty relaxed, most dog owners monitoring there dogs. Nice location near the library.

There are two sections, one for small dogs up to 30 lbs, and the other for large dogs. Each section has enough area for dogs to run and play around. Bags are available to the scoop business. I think each section could use a few shaded spots. It can get pretty warm there during a sunny day.

Decent dog park with two separate dog runs , one for small size dogs and another for large. There's a fountain for the dogs outside of the fenced area. The only problem are the residents that live above the park. They are not happy when the dogs bark and I've seen some of the residents go to their backyard and yell at people down below. Another negative I've experienced are the "regulars" who are too busy socializing to notice when their dogs are misbehaving. I've had to remove my dog because they were jumping on him. I rarely go to this park because it's usually crowded with dogs and people.
