It’s a big park. Just came for a short visit and explored the trail. There were several trail choices. The nice thing is that it’s a loop. You can choose for a shorter or longer loop. Winter season is still beautiful and quiet especially during a sunny day.

The balloon races is an event I loved taking my daughter to. Family friendly, things are a bit pricey even though the event itself is free. But it seems like everything is pricey these days. Still a fun event! We also went to the Dragon Lights this year. I'd never been before, but it was amazing! My daughter, my parents and I had a wonderful time. Lots of people and parking was terrible, but there is a shuttle that goes from the front of the event all the way out to the last parking lot, so that was awesome 👌!

Took the family to see the Dragon Lights in the evening. After the rain we've had the walking paths were still good. Love that they have these every year.

The best about this park is Wilbur D. May Museum. A cute small but very interesting museum. Lots of play & picnic area in the park. The place is world renowned for its annual famous Ballon Races in August. Love its central location around UNR as well. Dog-friendliness There is a dog park next to it. Picnic area Nice picnic area, especially for kids 0:09 0:09

This is my favorite place in Reno! The arboretum is awesome, the museum is great and there are amazing events throughout the year like the balloon races and the dragon lights. It's just a beautiful place to be all year long! They also have beautiful gardens that are available to rent for special events. Playground Yes, there are a few different playgrounds throughout the park. Restrooms Yes, there are several bathrooms throughout the park. Dog-friendliness Yes, there is a huge dog park at the top of the park. Picnic area Yes, there are so many amazing picnic areas throughout the park. Several have a bbq and are right next to the biggest playground.

This is one of the largest parks in Reno, and it truly has something for everyone. The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers several parking lots and clean bathrooms throughout. You’ll find covered eating areas, picnic tables, a pond with turtles and ducks, horseshoe pits, and even a volleyball court. The fitness court and workout stations along the well-kept walkways make it great for staying active. With a botanical garden, three playgrounds, a large dog park, and year-round events, it’s a perfect spot to explore and enjoy!

Beautiful place. More effort needs to be put towards garbage pickup. All the bins were overflowing with some trash making its way to the water.

Beautiful park with lots of walking trails, and playground equipment for the kids. There is exercise equipment along the main trail, big separate area for dogs to run free and be off leash. Just watch out for thistles, they can be very dangerous to animals and ive seen a few recently. There also vaulted bathrooms, a couple pagodas and a couple gazebos for picnics and cookouts (have to rent/reserve though). The rose gardens and arboretum is a really nice walk too, with a couple bridges, a small waterfall and just all around beautiful scenery. There is so much to do here i cant even list it all but its definitely worth going to! Ive been going since the early 90s as a kid 0:19

It was a beautiful visit even in the winter. The museum is amazing! I will have to come back to spend more time. There is so much to learn and see. Photos don't do this place, Justice! I didn't post photos of the museum because air didn't want to ruin the surprise. Definitely check it out, not your average park museum. There are also dragons!! The staff is passionate, friendly, and willing to help teach.
