Recreation Park

Dog owner, be careful! There is a giant bee hive under the green manhole in the southern section of the park. My dog and I just got attacked and we had to bring him the pet urgent care cuz his face was covered with bees. My GF and I got stung multiple times, and tried to call the city (long beach health department) but they said they are not gonna do anything about the hive. Just be careful and stay safe 🙏🏻 Ps: if anyone has a flamethrower and wanna help get rid of it... 😏 Playground Giant bee hive on the floor. The event center was spacious, has bathrooms, kitchen area, and a stage with a patio area and plenty of room for all events including tables and chairs and security. The only thing it does not have is AIR CONDITIONING. This is a makor concern because a couple of fans are not enough to vent this huge facility. Especially when it ia humid and 100° degrees. Other than that the place is roomy and maintained.

Very fun. Lost of kids.

We host our family reunions here at this park yearly and its a great spot to have them. Playground Play ground is awesome Dog-friendliness Absolutely Picnic area Awesome

Recreation park is great for rest, relaxation and get together with friends and family. My church ( Remnant Church) meets there and we get to minister to those who are homeless, hungry and hurting!

Built in 1929, the bandshell at Recreation Park in Long Beach, California is a historic landmark, which features Spanish Baroque style architecture & design.

The park side is really fun for kids of all ages! So many dinosaurs, slides, and activities for kids to do. The bathrooms are bad. I recommend you come prepared with your own toilet paper, soap, wipes, etc. They smell really bad and are not clean. Playground Bring some sand toys and brushes for the dinosaur fossil digging zones! Restrooms 0/5 do not recommend Picnic area Plenty of picnic benches

Loved the new upgrade to the park. Tons of people but everyone was nice and respectful

The gutters around the tennis area was filled with trash ....both sides. I couldn't find a single trash can to dispose of my trash. Why so many through the middle of the park, and then not a single one?
