While Mt. Trashmore might be more enjoyable to look at, there's a quiet stillness to Redwing that I cherish. It's a good place to go if you want to be outdoors but not around a lot of people. Also fantastic for running, whether you're good at it or just starting out.

I went to this park for the Cherry Blossom Festival and I loved it. I can't wait to come back and explore everything, including their lovely dog park with obstacles course

Spent the day in the park with my pup. It is clean, quiet and has a lot to offer! There are several playgrounds, a tennis/pickle ball and handball courts, walking path, and several pavilions with picnic tables, charcoal grills and permanent Cornhole set-ups for use (I believe there is a reservation system for these as well) My pup and I also very much enjoyed the large fenced in dog park that has two sections divided by a fence. I did not see restrooms but I also wasn't looking for them. If you are ever in the area, check it out!!

Perfect spot to visit during spring! I also love how they have the trees planted and aligned for beutiful pictures. Also love the quiet and cute Japanese garden space for more intimate and calmer feel.

Very nice park. Has playground, dog park, Japanese garden, trails, and huge fields for running around. Can still feel the sea breeze but are spots with shade or sun. Also lots of pavilions and picnic tables for eating and relaxing.

There is the Beautiful Japanese Garden, And the walking trails are absolutely gorgeous. Nice shaded walk. There are plenty of Picnic Sheltered with grills provided, A huge dog park and the Beautiful two rows of trees that look like something out of a movie.

The Red Wing Park Cherry Blossom Festival offers a delightful, experience of spring's ephemeral beauty. It provides a charming and accessible local celebration. Pros: * Beautiful Setting: Red Wing Park itself is lovely, and the cherry blossoms add a picturesque touch. The park's layout allows for pleasant strolls and opportunities for photography. * Family-Friendly Atmosphere: The festival generally has a relaxed and welcoming vibe, making it ideal for families with children. * Local Charm: It's a community-oriented event, which lends it a unique and heartwarming feel. You'll find local vendors, performers, and a sense of shared enjoyment. * Accessibility: For those in the Hampton Roads area, Red Wing Park is much easier to reach than traveling to larger cherry blossom festivals. * Photo Opportunities: The blossoms create stunning backdrops, making it a photographer's dream, whether you're a professional or just snapping pictures with your phone. 0:29
