This dog park had a good mix of dogs but not the same volume as the frick dog park. There are no lights so it's kind of rough being here past dark, especially in the winter (although the light of the giant eagle sign shines through when all the leaves fall off the trees so it's not pitch black). There are train tracks nearby which can frighten some dogs when a train goes by. There's not a lot of shade in the summer but there are 5 benches. There's a parking lot nearby which is very convenient for a short visit. Bring your own bags for the most part. Theres not a ton of grass in the big dogs dog park so it'll be dusty in the summer and a mud slick after it rains. Overall, this is a super functional dog park with some stuff that could be nicer, but it's great if you live nearby or dont wanna worry about parking.

I love bringing my dog here! When I lived in the area a couple of years ago, if allowed to lead the way, my dog would somehow always wind up back in the dog park from my apartment. The dogs here are friendly and get along well. There is plenty of room for them to run, play, and socialize. The people who frequent the park are very nice too, so if you're looking to make some friends, this would be a good place to do so! My only suggestion would be to bring extra water. There is not a tap nearby to refill the water bowls. Playground There is not a playground for kids, but recently, there were some dog training obstacles installed, such as a hoop through which to jump. Restrooms No restrooms Dog-friendliness I have never had any issues with any dogs here. Everyone seems to get along well. Picnic area There are some park tables, but there are mostly benches. The dogs can get a bit rowdy, so I would recommend having a picnic just outside the enclosure.

Great dog park along the river with lots of parking available! Two areas in case you need to have your dog with a little bit more privacy

Loved this dog park! Flat, spacious with trees and such to engage my pup even without any pup friends there. Also loves that it is right next to the river with trails and riverview benches to relax on (river aspect is not in the fenced in 'off-leash area'). ❤️ My Loki had a great trip and we'll be back on the regular Dog-friendliness 5 stars

Overall a decent park. I wish the city would attend to it more (there isn’t much grass). I also wish there was a dog water fountain like the one near Hofbrahaus. It’s not bad though. My lab puppy loves running around and meeting new dogs. Although keep aware of owners who are on their phones and not paying attention to their dogs. Some dogs are a little too much. Small dog park is attached. Overall recommend.

Our favorite dog park. Plenty of parking, lovely drive in, lots and lots of trees which is wonderful on those hot days. Generally a good mix of dogs and people. Everyone we meet is friendly. People there also get that dogs are dogs and some like to play rough. As long as tails are wagging, everybody is happy! Nice little path around it for those who like to do laps while there. Only downside is no water source but most people have water in their car and will fill a bowl or two.

Great location. Parking is right in front of the park. Everyone was really nice and other than one dog that played rough all of the dogs were great. It's separated into 2 sections - one for dogs under 25 pounds.

Nice little park for your dogs to run around and play off leash. Convenient access to the Southside riverfront trail. The park has separate sections for small dogs and large dogs, shady sections for dogs to lay down in and benches for owners. There isn’t water provided, so plan to bring it with you.

Me and my dog really enjoyed going to this park. There is a ton of space and most of the dog owners are very nice and respectful

We love bringing our 2 Chihuahuas here. Only bad thing is you need to walk thru the big dog area to get to the small dog area. Unfortunately my Chihuahua was biten by a larger dog as we walked into the large dog area to go back to the parking lot. My girl was bleeding. We NEVER had an issue til this past Sunday. The other dog was much larger than my 6lb Chihuahua maybe 80lbs unknown breed. I wish there was another parking lot so we wouldn't have to walk thru the big dog area. If you walk thru the big dog area PLEASE pick up your pup if possible so this doesn't happen to you!!

I love this dog park. I only find good pet parents and pups that come here. The only complaint i have is that i wish it wasn't dirt as the base but I'm unsure if there is any cost alternatives

It's fenced in and a decent size. It has some obstacle course equipment that my dog enjoyed. Unfortunately, not everyone is good at picking up after their animal so there is a lot of feces. Overall, not to bad if you avoid those spots. Playground There is a dog obstacle course that my little guy enjoyed! Restrooms There are no restrooms for humans nearby. Dog-friendliness It's a dog park, so very dog friendly. It has a side for large or small dogs.

It's a great place for the dogs to run and play. It would be nice if the ground were a little better kept (it's uneven and rocky) and if there were garbage cans at each end of the park, but otherwise, my dogs love it!

Great place to take your pup. Wish they would put some wood chips down to cover the extremely dry dirt. A water spout for the dogs would also be great and reduce plastic bottle waste!!

Aggressive Geese at the entry can wreak havoc when heading into park. Also vast amounts of geese droppings are something to keep an eye out for if your dogs ( like mine) get into trouble eating it. That said, I'm glad it's there and thankful for it.

This dog park is a decent size with two pens for both large and small dogs, but to get to the small dog pen you need to enter the large dog area (unless there’s an entrance on the other side where you cant park). There are no water fountains for the dogs and not much grass growing in the large dog area. The location is nice by the river trail so you are able to go on a walk before or after with your dog. We also witnessed a dog attacking other dogs on multiple occasions, but this isn’t necessarily the fault of the park.

I visit the small dog park a few times a week. The space is definitely large enough for my miniature pincher. Met several pet owners who were proactive in watching their dogs. Things can go south quickly when owners don't supervise their pets. Its definitely a positive experience each time we visit. I also enjoy taking my dog by the nearby riverside.
