Springfield Dog Park and Playground

Even though our Bunny is just 11 pounds, we go to the Big Dog side. It's a large space with more benches with shade to sit while she explodes! It's also really clean, and not many people come to this side of town, so it's not crowded.

Pretty cool little park, there's a small dog park, a tennis court, a large dog park that is pretty good. Size. There is also a small covered play area that's pretty soft. With decent toys for kids to play on. Edit: The toys not in the shade are freaking hot.

We love this park! Very big! Been going for a couple months. Never had any incidents. They have a small and large dog side. There is a basketball court and playground near by too. No human restroom, go before! Highly recommend stopping by.

This dog park was so nice, so much grass and a huge field. Plenty of human seating and shade. Also has playgrounds and basketball courts for human kids. Will definitely go back!

I was so impressed! I have been to dog parks all over the US. Springfield Dog Park surpasses all! Clean, water available for the pups and lots of grass! Maisy and Cooper give it a paws up! Photos to follow.

I'll give it a 2 because I've been there many days and years and I say that it's really nothing to do there they fixed one spin thingy but didn't fix the other spin thingy and once you play with all the stuff it's boring or just some stuff is boring. Playground Nothing to do there, boring, one broken spin thingy.

Great place for the dog but it holds a little water even a week or so after any rain.. was a little muddy but the dog still had a blast! Dog-friendliness Cool place to meet other dogs Picnic area There is one!

Went a few times to the large dog park section. Clean, Large, spacious. Nice path to walk around with dog and LOTS of grass to run and play...not sand that gets all over the clothes, in sneakers, and on dog coat. PLENTY of parking. A pleasant surprise in the traditional core city of Jacksonville. We visited the large dog park area and it was actually pretty good. It did need a little attention The grass was a little tall but it was more clover than anything so it was very pretty. It was well appointed with decorations and structures, adequate benches around a paved walkway on the perimeter. There was some orphan poop around but you get that most places these days. It was large and secure, however the surrounding area was how should I say sketchy at best. The adjacent public park had a lot of transiences and appeared a tad bit shady. I'm sure the time of day influences the local homeless population. Never really felt threatened but I certainly had eyes in the back of my head. I did see a couple folks wander into the dog park without a dog so...... Anyway we'd probably go back and check it out again Nice that it's located in the center of town if you're traveling around Jacksonville. 0:29

Spacious small dog and large dog park! They also have a playground for kids. Our small dogs loved running around the playground. Leaving 3 stars because there were a bunch of trash and the poopy stations were fresh out of bags. The drinking area for dogs was covered with algae. They do seem to keep the area locked up for after hours, we were greeted by a park keeper when he came to unlock the dog park.

I love to bring my dog Weezy to this park. It's pet and people friendly. Lots of room for small and large dogs to run free together. A water faucet for the dogs and cement play stones for them to run through.

Big area for the big dogs to run in. A kiddie pool to cool off in. Long walking path with covered benches.

Dog park itself is nice! However, be very cautious if you see a woman with a pitbull as it attacked my dog this morning. She admitted to knowing that the dog is aggressive and yet continues to bring it in public which is ridiculous.

There is man that harasses women about their dogs in white work van in the morning it’s very strange be careful going out early in the morning it’s creepy there should be some type of patrol around.
