This is the perfect place to bring your dog! Unlike other parks in the city it is nicely secluded and big enough for some real dog action. Please being your own poop bags and water as there are none nearby. Would highly recommend. It also has a separate smaller pen if you have small dogs and or dogs that want space to run around off leash but separate from other dogs. Great community spot, must visit if you are a dog owner. Has a table and benches so you can sit and watch.

Huge dog park with a lot of things for dogs to do. Hidden in the shade and away from cars which allows you to actually think and talk. Wish they had a big dish for water like the park near Riverside since a lot of people forget water.

I love this Dog Park, for a dog run that's not maintained by the parks dept it is pretty good. I just wish the horrible construction outside of it would be done already.

Such a fun dog run! It has tons of shade and different elevations so your dogs get a nice workout. Lots of regulars so your dogs can make friends.

Decent dog run. Would be nicer if there was more grass and ideally a water source. Definitely not for older dogs that have trouble getting up stairs

More natural than man made, dogs are bound to get dirty here. They will love it but they will dig and will definitely need a shower after.

Some dogs/owners that come here a bit disrespectful - for ex: a pug peed on my bag, & another dog kept being very aggressive to other dogs, neither owner seemed to care much for the actions of their dogs. There are 2 sections, each with bags & a trash bin, but neither with a spicket. The larger section has "hills" if you will, and a picnic table. The directions Google Maps provides to get to the dog park is very confusing.

Awesome park for dogs. Quiet area and dog owners are polite. Only issue i have is the accessibility, as there are too many stairs to go up in order to get to the actual park!

Volunteers take good care of this dog run and the users (human and canine) are friendly. It's reasonably large, but on a steep hill and a bit muddy in wet weather. There is a separate small run on the upper level, probably for small dogs though I don't believe it's signed for that. There are garbage cans here but no running water. It's not worth a special trip but useful if you're in the area and your dog needs to get off leash.

Took my dog here for the first time and I was amazed at how large and beautiful this dog park was. I really like that there are different terrains and there's a smaller individual fenced area if you prefer to just be alone with your dog, away from everyone else.

A cute dog park with friendly people that's well maintained by volunteers from the neighborhood. They often have events to meet other dog owners from the community and to hang out. Also a good place to have a picnic lunch or to read a book with your pooch in the shade of a tree.

The space has been fixed up in the last couple months they have a proper entrance built now unlike before and the big run and small run are well sectioned off so no accidental escapes, nice and spacious my German sheperd and dachshunds love it here

Came here for years. Good verity of dogs and a solid dog community. Nice varied terrain for the pups to run around on. Down side: this park was built where a walk way once was, and there is literally broken glass eroding out of the ground.

This is by far the largest dog park my pup and I have seen or visited in Manhattan! I guesstimate, this must be approx 1/4 of an acre with different terrain and levels within with a seperate space for pups or small breeds. Plenty of sit down, chill and watch spots and places for dog parents all over the place... The only thing wrong with this place is that is should have waaaaay more tree bark and mulch on the park grounds. All the other dog parks seem to have of tons of mulch. Why can't we mulch and use everything from St Nicholas Park for the dog park?

The benches are too low to the floor. Also the seats are dusty, always covered in dust. The dog park is tucked into the park you gotta go in deep to see it.

The canine park serves as a sanctuary, brimming with well-behaved pups. It’s a tranquil retreat within the park’s embrace, equipped with all essentials for a dog’s delight. Excitement fills the air, echoed in the chorus of happy barks and playful yips, offering a restful haven for dogs to unwind. Dog-friendliness The dog park, as expected, is dog friendly.

I love this place. It's always so inviting and peaceful. It's up above the traffic so it's easy to catch some silence here. Pups are always well behaved. Dog-friendliness Again, it's kinda secluded so there is not a lot of distraction for ur fur-baby.

One of the better dog parks in the city. Well maintained and usually full of dogs. Everyone is super friendly for the most part. Wood chips cover the ground so your dog won’t get too muddy.
