Very well designed dog park places strategically near a larger grassy park and aquatics center and recreation center. Only drawback is the floor is very rocky, so not all dogs do well on such surfaces. Still, a fantastic community dogpark.

Tacoma Dog Park is a modest and straightforward park located in Tacoma, Washington. During my visit, the park seemed quiet and relatively empty, which might be a plus for those seeking a more peaceful environment for their furry companions. However, the lack of shade and the smaller size of the park might be a concern, especially on hot days. While it may not be the most spacious or shaded dog park, it still offers a suitable space for dogs to stretch their legs and enjoy some outdoor playtime Dog-friendliness Off leash

The dog park is nice. Tucked back behind the buildings and the trees. Be careful if it's been raining, there's muddy areas around the fence and on approach. Playground I believe there is a playground nearby.

Beware there's been a pet boarding group(yes you read that right) they been traveling around Takoma and my partner have to vigorously avoid them because guess what do this for any Silver Spring/Takoma park Count the number of dogs per person if there's more than 5 that's the pet boarders they basically use the dog parks as there personal pet watching area but not enough people to dog ratio also alot of dogs get aggressive humpy play rough with out corrections they also sometimes bring a small child with them that throws rocks and sticks and other large objects at all the dogs so beware if you see a lot of dogs and like 1 or 2 younger people watching them because there basically on there phones the whole time while dogs just did all that I explained and more just want everyone's pets safe they DO NOT CARE

It's finally open!! I love this dog park. It's close to home, lots of benches, fun obstacles for the dogs, a separate area for small dogs, and there's a water fountain! Also, shade from a big tree helps. Downside is the gravel clay base. My doggo is always filthy when I get home, but it's totally worth it when she's sleeping peacefully from a morning or afternoon of good romping.

This dog park is fenced in and very safe, it has cool obstacles, and actually built circular. This is like the best dog park ever. Very safe area. When I went there they had a poopy bag dispensary and it was filled.

$$$ poorly spent by developers and a huge mistake they made by putting gravel/rocky like material as pavement. This can damage not only dogs paws, but also cause soft tissue damage. Safer materials should have been used.

There are a lot of benches in the dog park. It's small but have enough space for dogs to run around. It would be nice if they have some shade.

Great to have this new amenity for dog owners in the neighborhood. Overall it's a nice dog park, although there are a few things that could've been done better. For example, why did they put the dog water fountain outside of the play area? This requires owners to bring along their own bowl or forces them to exit the park every time they want to give their dogs water. Also, there's zero shade in the park, which is terrible since DC gets very hot in the summer. I've seen the dogs huddle underneath the benches b/c they have nowhere to avoid the sun when it's hot.
