It is a great place for everyone. It is a very easy 1 mile walk around the lake as well. There is a dog park right across from the playground if you bring your doggy

Always friendly dog-people with their dogs. Most people are very mindful of their dog's behavior, and super friendly. All dirt, with some agility equipment. Shady areas, dog waste bags and trash receptacles nearby, and fully-enclosed area.

Well it's a 1.2 mile shaded walk around Virginia Lake. Of course your dog will enjoy it too.

Has a small agility course, and an off leash zone for small dogs. The small dog area has a gate at the back so packs using it can join the big dogs if they want. There are benches and a concrete walkway for the humans in the big dog area, and a picnic table under a pergola in each play area. The water fountains are probably controlled by the city of Reno (I am not sure) and I have not seen them on yet in the 5 months I have been using this park. The closest public restrooms are in Virginia Lake Park and at Virginia Lake itself, and I have not had good luck finding them open. Overall the park is a well cared for haven. The dogs here love it and love to play. Dog-friendliness Any breed and any size is welcome. This is where I started teaching my dog to socialize with other dogs. Picnic area The picnic areas, one to each area of the park, are under a pergola. This helps on hot days or with rain and snow.

Nice fenced in park to let your dog get some exercise and socialization. Occasionally owners bring in anti social dogs or let their dogs act out. As long as you have control over your dog, it's worth the visit

I enjoy the park as well as my puppy. There is a good and roomy area for the dogs to play and enjoy their trip to the park. The park even has a little obstacle course that you can train your dog to do🙂. There is also a nice pathway around the park that you can walk and keep a good eye on your Loved Doggie. Hope you enjoy your visit to the Park😉, Enjoy!!

This dog park is within walking distance for me.... during the day not much activity. I like to get there around 7pm there will be several other dogs there. All are for the most part friendly, some owners don't think they should have ther dogs fixed and they will be a bit on the aggressive side, or females may be in heat which can lead to problems. Over all most of the owners are friendly and respectful.

Love taking the dogs to play with their fellow k9 friends! Lots of room to run and play, with a variety of skill areas to work with the dogs. A small dog area and the open area are a good separation for visiting. Plenty of bench space to sit, if you are into that kind of thing. Unfortunately, not a lot of folks picking up after their dogs, lives land minds for stepping on if you don’t pay attention. I will say, whomever left the tennis balls, you rock; very nice treat for the dog to play catch and have fun!

I went in the morning so half the park was nice and cool in the shade. My dog likes to be with other dogs and play with some, and the park was large enough to have them run around in fun. It's great that buckets of water were everywhere so that dogs could stay hydrated.

Beware of several aggressive pups that seem to be frequenting this park. My boy got attacked, the owners felt bad, then I see them the next week with their dog acting up again. If you can't control or recognize stressor signs in your pup, don't risk the safety of other dogs! ...get some some freaking training. This used to be such a nice public space...

This is one of the nicest and biggest dog part in the area. It has a separate area for small dogs and another one for the large. Few obstacles games, nice shaded area, plenty or benches to chill while waiting on the dogs to socialize and do their thing. Pretty clean for the most part. Some owners forget to pick after their dogs but for the majority it's clean.

Fun dogs. Space for large dogs is separated from small dogs. Friendly owners hang out.

Not a bad dog park. It is an off-the-leash park with friendly dogs and owners. The only thing is it's all dirt and my dog comes home dirty every time. Wish there was grass.

My dog Sierra has her dog friends and people friends that she sees every day. This is a great dog park that has a community of regulars that care about their dogs and the park. Playground This dog park actually has a doggie course to train of run your dog thru. Restrooms There are restrooms just a short walk away. Dog-friendliness The morning group’s dogs are well socialized. There is also a section for small dogs. There is a water spout for water and the community leaves water jugsin the winter just incase you forgot yours.

Love love love all the pups and the people. HUGE running park with water pool and lots of great people with like minds. Gets the energy outta my dog so she sleeps like a baby! I'd be lost without this place. Right next to the lake. Open 24 hrs! Playground Across from dog park. Restrooms Park restrooms. Clean. Dog-friendliness Calling all dog moms and dads Picnic area Several areas with BBQs and picnic tables for huge parties to just you closest

Update: nothing has changed and will be rating lower. Haven't been back since the incident. It’s a good sized park with a small dog section. The super bad thing about it is the dogs can squeeze or push the small dog gate open, this happened to us unfortunately. The gate needs to be fixed. Needs some updating too, area is a little run down and the people who keep it up are the ones that bring their dogs…not the city.
