We love this park! Smaller than Odana Dog Park but still plenty of space to run. Also has an awesome little gully/ravine on one side with a dirt path for a more nature-filled saunter. Plenty of shade as well.

Went to the dog park section of the park. It had some mud but not as muddy as the one off Segoe. I would go again.

A perfect spot to take your furry friend for some exercise and socializing. This dog park is popular before and after work. There is a paved trail that leads to the dog park (located next to the tennis courts). There is a portable restroom in between the dog park and the tennis courts. There is no parking lot but there is plenty of free street parking. Playground There is a large playground located next to the dog park. Restrooms There is a port-a-john located between the dog park and the tennis courts. Dog-friendliness Dogs can be unleashed within the fenced-in dog park.

Closest dog park to my home, so I go there frequently. Good points: * No mud puddles. The most heavily trafficked lawn (closest to the entrance), which was more than half bare earth, has been removed & replaced with gravel. Even after a rain, this section is no longer muddy & messy. Great improvement from 2017. * There are a few trees, which provides some shade on a hot summer day. * The other people who come to the park are as friendly as those at the other parks. * Dog owners there may be a little better about cleaning up after their dogs. * It's small enough that you can see your dog at all times, even if you're sitting at one of the picnic tables. Bad: * It's a small, boring little park. * The grass doesn't get cut as often as the rest of Walnut Grove park. Harder to pick up the poop. Many of the photos are from the 2nd All Breeds Dog Party, which was held on August 3rd, 2018.

I've been taking my dog here on a regular basis for about a year. The regulars are super nice and respectful of the rules. They have even jumped in to help me out when my dog was getting ganged up on. Also Madison parks does a great job of managing this park. I've seen them come by to take the trash and refill the dog bags. They are super nice. One employee came with treats for the dogs. Once they came by to check dog tags. Beware as with all dog parks not everyone follows the rules and some dogs are aggressive. I leave right away when that happens. Playground The playground is nearby. Picnic area There's a covered picnic area nearby. There are picnic tables within the fenced dog park, but I would not recommend having food within the fenced area.

Very nice tucked away park. Grew up in the area and just realized it was a dog park today. Dogs and owners were all very friendly. It’s my new go to in a pinch park.

Smaller fenced in dog park. Easy to track your dog from one spot. Gets muddy in the spring.

Great little neighborhood dog park. Everyone is friendly and their owners are well behaved. Multiple picnic tables and some medium sized trees provide a little shade depending on the time of day. The city does a great job of keeping it mowed and clean.
