Great dog park with responsible owners that pick up after their dog. Lots of tennis balls in large-dog area. There is a strong urine smell around any posts and seating benches so I don't know if these areas ever get rinsed down to help with the concentration of urine. We met friendly dogs and dog parents and would return in the future.

The section for small dogs is pretty small. The section for large dogs is bigger. There is more space for the dogs to run around. They do provide some shaded areas with benches. Doggy Waste bags are provided and a water fountain as well. The entrance is securely double gated. Its located next to a walking trail. Its also located near an industrial business, it could get a little bit noisy. Overall, its a decent place to bring your dog to play with other dogs off leash.

Great dog park! It’s next to a wonderful walking path. It’s got a good-sized small dog area for them to play separate from the large dogs, a double gate system so they can’t get out, and a huge play area for large dogs. It’s also near the uptown area of Whittier so that after your walk, you can stroll through town. There’s also parking on site.

Clean, though rather sparse. Dirt (red) only for pups to run on, seems fairly new, no mature trees for natural shade, though there are a few benches with a shade over them for the pup pawparents. Potty bags available, no restroom though for the hoomans😂. Been they're a handful of times, everyone we've encountered is friendly and keeps an eye on their pup, a much-appreciated feature!

I come here with my dog Lambeau fairly regularly. It's a pretty big space for the large dogs that stretches along the Greenway Trail. There are usually other dogs no matter the time of day, but is at its busiest in the mid morning and early evening. There is limited shade, and no grass so the dogs get hot very quickly. I always try to bring my own water and a bowl even though there is a fountain next to the entrance. There is a crowd of regulars most of which are responsible. There have been a couple instances where I have seen dogs get in fights here and it's usually because one dog is uncomfortable and wants to leave but the owner wants them to socialize so it eventually lashes out at another dog. Basically, be responsible, and know your dogs personality before you go to the park. Don't force them to do something they don't want to do, and step in and correct bad behavior, or even leave if your dog is the one instigating or just having a bad day.

It's a nice park, it's all DG, and has a few young trees. There are concrete benches, and shaded areas. It seems to get a little muddy near the drinking fountain. There seems to be a problem with the drainage. Very friendly people, and mostly well behaved dogs. There is an area for large dogs, and an area for small dogs.

I love this dog park. We come almost every single day. My dog really enjoys playing here. Everyone that goes in the morning and afternoon are really nice, and they stay close with their dogs. I feel that my dog is very safe here. The only downside, is it has dirt/sand that We bring back into my car. This is the best dog park that I have been to by far.

Full disclosure I am from out of town. I come to Whittier 2-3 times a year for holidays with relatives. And my observation is this park is never open! Thanksgiving closed. Day before Christmas- closed. Christmas- closed. July 3 and 4th - closed! I don’t get it. Okay if you have to lock it up on Christmas and Thanksgiving days - disappointing but okay. But today is the 24th, a Wednesday and it’s closed! Not even a holiday. Wish it was more available resource.

Great dog park unfortunately when I came here they were no other dogs however, it was clean and easy to park . There is no activities for dogs except for fire hydrants, so do be sure to bring some toys or treats, especially if you're going on off hours where there will be no other dogs to play. It's a sand lot with few areas of shade so keep that in mind there is a water fountain for dogs, but I can imagine it being stifling hot if you go at the wrong time of day or season.
