Came here to fish on a boat but got skunked. It was still very nice & relaxing though. Beware, parking kitty app will only allow up to 2 to 3hr max parking for boat trailer vs using the parking meter which is all day.

Wow - if you get to the park early enough, parking is only a dollar per hour. There’s also a dog park there- had no idea! Nice laid back park that is very accessible. Trail condition Good condition Accessibility level Very accessible Comfort level Very safe

Great place for a walk along the River with excellent views of Portland. Very scenic. Paved trail runs along West Bank of Willamette River. We walked 1.75 miles north from the south parking lot. Then back and a little south to get our 4-mile walk in. All paved. Good for walking, running or cycling. Safe. Lots of people. Playground They had a few in the main park. Restrooms One was open - yay! Dog-friendliness Dog park. Lots of dogs on the path. Picnic area Plenty of places.

Amazing open space in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the city. Can bring your picnic basket and spend an entire day here. Also the boat loading facility and parking space is awesome. If nothing then just wear your running shoes or bring your bicycle for some stretching!

Great park in SE Portland on the riverfront that I ran passed by many times. It's on the longer waterfront loop along the river and you'll find it a good change of scenery after a stretch of trail in a residential area. There are some benches, a small dog park, and I believe public restrooms as well so that can come handy sometimes.

Willamette Park is a hidden gem quietly tucked into the city—a peaceful riverside spot that feels like an escape without ever having to leave Portland. It’s not as crowded as some of the city’s other waterfront parks, which makes it a great place if you’re looking for a little extra space and calm. The open lawns, river access, and trails make it an excellent spot to drop a ship, relax, or simply enjoy a slow afternoon by the water. One of the best parts about the park is its versatility—you can go for a walk, bring a picnic, launch a kayak, or just stretch out on the grass and watch the river go by. The vibe is relaxed and low-key, a nice change from busier urban parks. That said, there are a few drawbacks. At times, the restrooms are closed, which can be inconvenient for longer stays. Some additional upkeep could make the park feel even more welcoming.

This is a great community resource. There are three docks out in the Willamette. Two boat launch ramps and lots of pay parking. There's some lovely grass space for picnics or throwing the Frisbee. There are 4 tennis courts. There's a small kids play area. It's just a very nice space. Playground Small play ground. Restrooms Yes, at the far south end Picnic area Many spaces, some picnic tables.

Good park to launch boats on the Willamette River, including large outdoor motor boats, fishing boats, kayaks, and paddle boards.
