Had an excellent time at this zoo. The path is straight forward and you see everything twice. They had different staff teaching about animals throughout the day and the goat petting pen was fun for the kids. Some of the animals were not out but it was about mid day. Park was clean and a good deal for admission. Only spent about 1.5 hours here too.

A very well maintained park with lots of history, trails, fun stuff to do and see. Different from the other state parks with the partial urban setting, but all in all a great park. Highly recommend visiting Wilmington State Park and all its sub-locations.

Had our family reunion there. Everyone enjoyed their self. The only thing the porta potters were dirty. Look like they had never been cleaned. Other than that it was an enjoyable time Playground We're not near that part of the playground Restrooms Dirty Picnic area Very nice

Brandywine Park is a really nice Urban park that is part of the Delaware Greenway. It runs into Alapocas Woods which is another beautiful park. Nestled along the Brandywine River the park boasts paved walking tracks, shaded picnic gardens, a rose garden, and the Brandywine Zoo. It also hosts events such as the Brandywine Arts Festival every September.

These park's are absolutely gorgeous. You can take it easy and do a shorter trail or go full on hiking in these woods or anything in between and each time see something new and beautiful.

A beautiful and well-maintained park that offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking to go for a peaceful walk, have a picnic, or just enjoy some fresh air, this place really delivers. The paths are clean and easy to navigate, and there are plenty of benches and shaded areas to relax. I also appreciated the open green spaces — great for families, kids, or just reading a book on the grass. It felt safe and quiet, even during the busier hours. A perfect spot to unwind and recharge.

Wilmington State Parks offer a beautiful mix of natural beauty, historic charm, and recreational opportunities. Brandywine Park is perfect for walking, jogging, or visiting the zoo, while Rockford Park provides panoramic views and peaceful trails. The parks are well-maintained, family-friendly, and open year-round, making them ideal for picnics, outdoor workouts, or simply enjoying nature. Don’t miss the gardens, playgrounds, and seasonal events that add extra charm to the area.

Great parks to enjoy with your family and friends. There is a small area with benches and tables to have a picnic. The park is nicely kept. There are trails to walk or ride your bike. There are also benches along the way in case you get tired and need to take a rest. The Delaware River runs through the park. Great for scenic photos. The Btandywine Zoo is only steps away from the park. The only downside is that the public bathroom is located inside the zoo area. Otherwise, it is one of my favorite parks to visit, and I live out of state. Playground No play ground Restrooms Only bathrooms are located across the street at the zoo. But there are pot-a-potties Dog-friendliness If you clean up after it. Picnic area Yes.
