Only dog park in entire town. Gated area is bark, lots of people and dogs. The rest of surrounding area closed due to covid, except for a select few people who have a key to unlock the gate to the playground and sports area and play soccer inside, even though there are signs everywhere that say closed, per county health department. Been this way since April. Let's get more dog parks in this city! And let's ALL follow the rules.

The area itself is nice and clean. The park has plenty of seating, parking, and room for the dogs to run. The little dog yard was covered in poop. The big dog yard wasn’t nearly as bad. Though 2 of my dogs were attacked when we were there, one other dog was also attacked, and while talking to another dog mom her dog had also been attacked 3 days prior. So maybe stay clear of the big dog yard, the owner of the dog did nothing to stop, correct, or remove their dog. Go during the day when it’s a more mature crowd, at night it’s younger people on their phones and ignoring their dogs.

Really neat little dog park, with cool trails and lots of interesting things for the dog to explore. Easy access to the highway

Love this place, dogs and people are always well behaved and it's a clean place to bring the puppers 🐕🐶🐩🐾 some dogs can be a little much, but the owners are usually on top of it! Dog-friendliness Nice clean area for the big dogs to run and play. Fresh water and benches

Best Dog park I've found for my small dog. Most dog parks I've found don't have grass or shade. This park has both! Which is a HUGE plus in my eyes. Park is always clean. My dog loves it here!

Well organized dog park of medium size. Waste bags are reliably stocked. We've only gone a few times but other visitors have been friendly.

Low key dog park with separate areas for small dogs (under 20 pounds is recommended) and big dogs. The park is not so big that you can't see your dog wherever they may roam. Water fountains and complimentary poop bags are available. Folks are pretty good about cleaning up after their dogs.

It's nice to have a place the dogs can run. The only issue I have is the one lady that shows up with a lab and uses the small dog side and refuses to leave. Not the properties fault by any means. Dog-friendliness Look at the name duh.

People are responsible for their dogs, ie, manage behavior and clean up after them. However, I have come early at times (0900-1000) and found several "mounds" of poop and that's annoying. The park provides poop bags, which is very generous. I also wish that the park had rakes and scoops to pick up what is left behind by other dogs. I would be glad to make a sweep and clean up when I find these mounds. People and their doggies are friendly and we watch out for each other. Also, I use the small dog side and after it rains, I'm grateful for the hilly area with grass. This allows less muddy areas for dogs to play. I also appreciate a chance to sit and talk with other owners in the sitting area and the provided chairs.

It is difficult to separate this review as it pertains to the location itself and then also the culture that has grown on either side of the dog park. Having a medium sized dog, who doesn't obviously 'fit' on the small side or the large dog side, we have gotten some interesting input from other dog owners whilst we attempt to navigate where we might belong. The small dog side has a group of goers who can be friendly. The large dog side has a group of regulars also, some friendly some less so. The park itself is nice enough. There are dog poo bags available and water fountains with dog dishes. Double gates for the dog safety upon entering. The issue, and this might fall into any public dog park, is mostly other dog owners. Specifically on the large dog side, some people bring their 'in-tact' dogs meaning not neutered which induces behaviors that are unpleasant/fights. It is an unpredictable experience. The grounds are good enough I suppose, if you know where to take your dog. Ours is too big for the small side and too small for the big side.

I bring my dog here fairly often and in general I think it's a pretty good park. As at least one other reviewer noted, having a medium-sized dog puts you in the middle of where you should take your dog, the small side or the large side. I think people who get their shorts up in a wad that your medium sized dog is on the small dog side should hold their judgment until they see how well-behaved your dog is, and get over themselves. The people on the large dog side tend to be a younger crowd than the small dog side and they also tend to have an air of superiority. I'll often take my medium sized dog over there, and if I'm walking in from the small dog side they always kind of side eye you and rarely, if ever, make conversation. Definitely a click on that side. To summarize, the park itself is great. The people, not always so great but I guess you get that everywhere you go, huh

Very popular dog park as there are always other dogs whenever we visit in the mornings and evenings. Large and small dog park divided and both are gated so you don't have to worry about your dog running away. It has a very well kept appearance although not all poop gets picked up on the grass sections. I definitely recommend bringing your dogs here if you're looking to keep them entertained and tire them out.

It’s a nice off leash dog park. There’s the side for big dogs and the separate side for small dogs. There is also an outdoor sports complex with 3 baseball fields and 2 soccer fields. If you have a leash you can walk your dogs around the fields. Sometimes I do that if there are too many dogs in the off leash dog park.

If you have a well socialized dog and you need a place for them to play in Woodland this is pretty much your only close option. Local community is friendly and welcoming. There are a few problematic dog / owner combinations but nothing that ruins the generally positive long term experience. Large dog side is composed mainly of wood chips and dirt, which turns to mud in rainy months. Small dog side is composed mostly of grass.

Very nice facility with large separate areas for small & large dogs with twin gate access keeping dogs from being able to escape easily. Nice covered patio areas & numerous plastic chairs around to share. Only quirk is the plumbing for the water fountain. The dog one barely works while the tallest one for adults provides a nice stream that reaches about 4 feet away from the spout (be careful it comes out strong & if you're not expecting it you'll lose your hat). All in all a great facility compared to the ones I'm used to seeing in the North Sacramento County parks.

in addition, The dog has been selectively bred over millennia for various behaviors, sensory capabilities, and physical attributes.[5] Dog breeds vary widely in shape, size, and color. They have identical skeletal structures (with the exception of the tail and skull), powerful jaws that house around 42 teeth, and well-developed senses of smell, hearing and sight. They perform many roles for humans, such as hunting, herding, pulling loads, protection, assisting police and the military, companionship, therapy, and aiding disabled people. Communication in dogs include eye gaze, facial expression, vocalization, body posture (including movements of bodies and limbs), and gustatory communication (scents, pheromones, and taste). They mark their territories by urinating on them, which is more likely when entering a new environment. Over the millennia, dogs became uniquely adapted to human behavior, and the human–canine bond has been a topic of frequent study. This influence on human society has given them the sobriquet of "man's best friend". The dog is the most popular pet in the United States, present in 34–40% of households. In developed countries, around 20% of dogs are kept as pets, while 75% of the population in developing countries largely consists of feral and community dogs. As of 2020, the global dog population was estimated at 700 million to 1 billion. Playground Small but it works Restrooms a few around the area Dog-friendliness amazing, but very strict Picnic area i like food

It's fine if you can visit when it isn't crowded, but majority of the time we go it is busy. The folks who seem to bring their dogs have very little consideration or control of their dogs, too. The shaded parking is nice, and it's not all bad, but would not recommend. Probably isolated, and could be a problem with most dog parks, but our dog caught what we assume is Kennel cough.

I like this place alot. Very nice location and simple, easy to access set up. Genius gate design to reduce dogs getting out. You will run into some people who come here and try to micro manage others and that's super annoying but usually it's just relaxed people who clean up after their dogs and are friendly. Could definitely use more interesting things for the dogs to climb on etc. Overall nice community, nice place. Restrooms are not close by just a heads up Picnic area Nice little covered picnic table

I really do love this dog park, its well maintained and the poo bags are always stocked. It is separated by weight. Its bark for the big dog side and grass on the little dog side. This place doesn't have posted hours but has minimal lighting at night. There's a few light posts in the park which is convenient! Its really well sized. With all dog parks you'll have to see of your dog gets along with the other dogs as personality meshing is important. If you find that your dog isn't having fun, try another time during the day as groups differ. Good luck!
